For help with HouseStory, email info@mercuryproject.cz. Include your device model, iOS version, HouseStory version and a short description of what happened. Please leave out private addresses, contracts and financial documents unless they are needed to explain the issue.
Getting started
Add a property, then choose a few relevant maintenance templates or create your own tasks. Adjust dates and intervals to match your equipment. You can add tools, appliances, documents and contacts over time.
Maintenance and ongoing services
A reminder tracks a job that needs doing. An ongoing service records an arrangement such as regular gardening. Logged payments and calculated service costs represent different things; keep the service rate and start date up to date.
Missing reminders
Check that reminders are enabled in HouseStory’s Settings and that iOS allows notifications for HouseStory. Make sure the task has alerts enabled and the right schedule. Equipment tracked by usage hours needs an up-to-date meter reading.
Sync between my devices
Use the same Apple Account on your devices and allow HouseStory to use iCloud. Check HouseStory’s Settings for its iCloud status. Sync may take time and requires connectivity. Syncing your own devices does not invite another person to share your home.
Back up your records
Open Settings → Your data → Export all data, then save the generated file to a location you trust. Keep backups somewhere separate from your only device.
Restore from backup replaces your current HouseStory records. Export a fresh backup first if you want to keep the current data. Restored changes may also synchronize to your other devices. Only restore a backup you intended to use.
Export a House Book
Open a property and choose House Book or Export House Book (PDF) from its menu. Choose the history period and optional private details, then preview the PDF before sharing it. House Book export is included free.
Costs and currencies
Record each cost in the currency in which it was incurred. Amounts in different currencies are kept separate; they are not an exchange-rate conversion or a single comparable total.
Warranty information
Enter an item’s purchase date and warranty period to track its expiry. Use the manufacturer’s or seller’s terms to confirm coverage. HouseStory records the dates you enter.
Free allowance and Pro
The free allowance covers one property and three maintenance items in total. Both reminders and ongoing services count; logging a completion does not use another item. Service history, equipment, supplies and people are unlimited. If you reach the allowance, your existing records remain available to view, edit, complete and back up.
Open Settings → Unlock HouseStory Pro to see the current local price. To recover a previous purchase, use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy Pro.
Availability and pricing
HouseStory is preparing for its App Store release. The free allowance is one property and three maintenance items, with unlimited service history and free House Book PDF export. HouseStory Pro unlocks unlimited properties and maintenance items for a one-time US price of $14.99. Local prices are shown in the App Store. There is no subscription.
