How do I roll?

Shake your iPhone like dice in your hand: the dice rattle for as long as you shake and are thrown when you stop. Or hold the big Hold to Roll button — the dice keep tumbling while you hold, and are thrown when you let go. You can also tap the table. Tap Skip while the dice settle to see the result right away.

What is the Dice Tornado?

While the dice are rolling, tap the button fast, three times or more. The dice lift off and whirl around in a tornado — the faster you tap, the faster it spins. Stop tapping and it slowly lets them go; the result is wherever they land.

Shaking doesn't roll the dice

Give it a real shake, back and forth — a gentle swing doesn't count, so passing the phone on never rolls by accident. After each roll, LuckyRoll also waits until the phone is held still for a moment; in a round, until it's been passed to the next player. The line under the roll button tells you what it's waiting for, like Hold steady, then shake to roll.

How do rounds work?

Tap the people button to add players (names and photos are optional). Choose Highest wins or Lowest pays, then pass the phone around — everyone rolls once. If players tie, only they roll again until it's decided. With a single player, LuckyRoll simply puts your name on every roll.

Are the rolls fair?

Yes. Every throw is randomized with the system's secure random generator, and the result is whatever face ends up on top when the dice come to rest — it is never decided in advance.

How do I add a player photo?

In the Players screen, tap the numbered circle next to a name and choose Take Photo or Choose from Library. Photos stay on your iPhone.

What do I get for buying the dev a coffee?

Tap the coffee cup at the top right. Espresso is a simple thank-you. Coffee also unlocks 4 premium dice (Gold, Rose Gold, Emerald, Glacier). Coffee & Cake unlocks the premium dice and 3 premium tables (Royal Velvet, black Marble, Midnight). All other dice and tables are free for everyone.

I have a new iPhone — how do I get my premium styles back?

Coffee and Coffee & Cake are one-time purchases tied to your Apple Account. Open the coffee cup and tap Restore Purchases.

I don't hear any sound

LuckyRoll follows your iPhone's silent switch. Turn silent mode off, and check that Sound is on in LuckyRoll's Settings (the gear button).

The dice move too much for me

Choose Quick rolls in Settings, or turn on Reduce Motion in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Motion to use calm, flat dice.
